We just picked up another cool drum kit for the studio and it happens to have some history. Our friend Andrew Owens passed a photo onto Gordon Rice, former chief engineer for Sigma Sound, who says it is an early 80′s Yamaha set from Sigma Sound Studios. He is pretty sure it is from 1982. The snare is a Signature Series model which he remembers John Anthony trading a wooden Rogers Dynasonic for a number of years back. Gordon has a great memory and knowledge with intimate details about most everything Sigma. More information will be forthcoming, and hopefully we will get the details on who may have played this great kit.
